Describe your Sundays as a child.
When I was a child, Sundays were Church day. We got up early and went to Church, and then went to church at night til late. The best Sundays were the one's when my Dad would go by snow white bakery before church and stop at the back door and buy us all do-nuts. Not little bitty donuts like they have now days but big ones, hot off the grease, dripping with sugar.
It's probably why I love donuts to this day. I just LOVE hot loaded with sugar donuts. YUMMY!!
When we still lived in Abilene when I was a child we would go to the Deaf services at 11th and Willis COC. I would go to Sunday School, and then the main service was in the church annex. It wasn't all in Sign language, it was just a smaller crowd, with an interpreter up front. Easier to see I guess. I don't know why they couldn't do that in the normal auditorium. Seems like to me (now that is) that all that would have done is make the deaf population feel isolated. I don't know if that is the case, I don't even know if they still have those services.
